MetaMask Portfolio Will Add ETH Staking Function

ConsenSys said it is adding a staking function to MetaMask Portfolio, allowing users to stake ETH through Lido or Rocket Pool, the two leading community-led validator services. “By allowing staking through the MetaMask Portfolio Dapp, we are providing MetaMask users with a convenient way to interact with staking providers,” Abad Mian, product manager at MetaMask. Customers can exchange stETH and rETH back to ETH through MetaMask Swaps, but they need to pay a certain fee.

According to Glassnode, the number of BTC transactions (7d MA) reached a 14-month high of 11,779.565. Bitcoin is up 11.35% over the last 24 hours and rose to an intraday high of $21,290.00. The largest cryptocurrency rose more than 23% over the past week, its best weekly performance since March 2022. The relative strength index (RSI) is above the overbought territory and the Crypto Fear and Greed index rose to 47, suggesting the market sentiment is strong. If the BTC/USDT pair stays above the 200-day moving average (~$20K), the next target is $25K.
