According to Decrypt, Casey Rodarmor, the creator of the Bitcoin protocol Ordinals, has announced his resignation as the project’s lead maintainer. He is handing over control of the project to an anonymous developer known as “Raph,” who has agreed to take on the role of lead maintainer. Rodarmor cited his inability to give Ordinals the required attention as the reason for his decision. While Rodarmor’s title has changed, Raph stated that he will still be involved in the project, clarifying that Rodarmor’s decision “is simply about not being the public face of Ordinals at this time.”
