Ethereum Merger Will Happen Between August and November

Ethereum developer Tim Beiko said the Ethereum merger will happen between August and November, and only a catastrophic event or failure will stop it this year. He also claimed that it was almost impossible to give an exact date when the merger will take place due to the technical issues involved. One of Ethereum’s most important testnets, the Ropsten testnet, completed its merger on June 8.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the consumer-price index increased 8.6% in May annually, the largest year-on-year increase since December 1981. Bitcoin is down 1.30% over the last 24 hours and fell to an intraday low of $26,856.11. Due to the high inflation figures, strong selling since June 10 has pulled Bitcoin below the $28,000 price level. The 14-day RSI is approaching the oversold level, indicating an advantage to sellers. If the BTC/USDT pair drops below $27,000, the pair could find support at $24,500, the intraday low of May 10.
